Dr. Katie McCutcheon is originally from Sylvester, GA. After graduating from Georgia Southern University, she received her Doctor of Medicine degree (M.D.) from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. She completed her Pediatric residency there at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia in June 2018, where she was nominated for the William P. Kanto research award and won second place for her research project involving the use of cranial ultrasound in neonates undergoing treatment with ECMO.
Dr. McCutcheon worked with the Ogeechee Area Hospice for two years. In addition, she provided cervical cancer screening for women in rural areas of Peru and was a medical assistant for pediatric cancer patients at Camp Rainbow.
She is married and enjoys cooking, playing the piano, listening to music, exercising, and entertaining her Brittany spaniel.
